I took the road less traveled by. And that has made all the difference. - Robert Frost
I was fortunate enough to grow up on a little farm in central Victoria, Australia. My love for the Equine started at a very young age with my mother forever doing something with a horse and me naturally developing the same fondness. Along with my love of art which progressed to a passion in photography all lead to my development as a equine photographer.
I spent my early working life travelling Australia working in agriculture, documenting my life and adventures along the way. This lead me to telling a story with my photos that resonated with my following. I took these skills and when adventure landed me in Mongolia racing in the worlds longest and toughest horse race, my life’s direction took a change.
With the lifechanging completion of the Mongol derby came my career shift from full time agriculture to full time photographer. I’m pushing myself and deciding to back myself finally after all these years. I have the skills to be the best and so the launch of Kathy Gabriel Photography fulltime is where we currently stand.
Focusing on equines I bring to you, photography and videography my branches spread from equine marketing to capturing moments in time for family’s and loved ones.
Come with me on this journey, lets see how far we can take this.
